PhD in Engineering Sciences, Computer Engineering option, from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (Cinvestav) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Guadalajara campus. Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Centro Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico in Cuernavaca, Morelos, and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Jiquilpan in Michoacán.
He worked as research professor at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Chapala and the University of Papaloapan in Oaxaca. He currently works at ITESO as the coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences. He is a member of the academic faculties of the PhD in Engineering Sciences and the Master's Degree in Computer Systems, both listed on the National Registry of Quality Graduate Programas (PNPC) of the National Science and Technology Council (Conacyt).
